Ottawa Custom Candles was built on one idea: premium candles shouldn’t cost what big brands charge for them. For two years, our standard soy wax line has delivered on that promise — strong scents, clean burns, and prices that make sense.

Why Coconut Soy Wax Outperforms Standard Soy

Most candles — even premium ones — are made with either paraffin or straight soy wax. Both perform well, but coconut soy blends sit at the top of the wax hierarchy for several reasons.

The slower, cooler burn means the fragrance oil releases more gradually, creating a more even and sustained scent throw throughout the entire life of the candle — not just the first hour. The wax also produces a distinctly creamier, smoother melt pool that pulls cleanly from the edges of the vessel. Visually and experientially, it’s in a different category.
